Western Carolina University sophomore Wade Raines joins the HiToms staff this summer as the socialmedia/operations intern.

Raines brings with him years of experience in managing high school sports teams and working with the Catamount Club and WCU Athletic Department marketing team. He is a sports management and marketing double major.

During his time at North Davidson Middle and High schools in Lexington, he was the manager of the basketball and football teams. He lettered on the high school’s varsity tennis team.

At WCU during his freshman year, Raines worked in the hospitality areas during football and basketball games for the Catamount Club. In addition, he helped with the university’s in-game and media time-out promotions for the marketing team during basketball, baseball, and softball seasons.

Raines lives in Lexington, North Carolina. He is a diehard fan of all UNC sports teams, as well as the Carolina Panthers, Golden State Warriors, Atlanta Braves and Carolina Hurricanes. He is looking forward to the opportunity to work with and promote HiToms baseball.
