THOMASVILLE STARS NIGHT RETURNS JUNE 11 TO HONOR UNSUNG HEROES
Meet Thomasville’s 2026 Starting Lineup of Community Stars
THOMASVILLE, NC – The Thomasville Tourism Commission is proud to announce the return of Thomasville Stars Night on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Historic Finch Field, beginning at 5:30 PM. Held in partnership with the HiToms baseball team, this special event celebrates the selfless contributions of local individuals who make Thomasville a better place, often without recognition.
Thomasville Stars Night will spotlight nine outstanding community members, each nominated by a local organization for their integrity, commitment, and quiet leadership, forming Thomasville’s 2026 “Starting Lineup” of Unsung Heroes.
“One of the best things about my job is getting to meet people who are doing incredible things behind the scenes,” said Cameron Marsden, Director of Thomasville Tourism. “The funny thing is, most of our nominees don’t think they’re doing anything special. They’re just helping people, volunteering, leading organizations, solving problems, and making Thomasville better because that’s who they are. Most of them would probably rather be anywhere else than standing in front of a crowd getting recognized, which is exactly why they deserve to be there. We hope the community will come out to Finch Field, cheer them on, enjoy a great night of baseball, and help us give these hometown heroes the recognition they’ve earned.”
In addition to honoring the 2026 Thomasville Stars, attendees can enjoy an evening at Historic Finch Field featuring HiToms baseball, free Thomasville-themed giveaways, and plenty of hometown pride. Fans can pick up complimentary items including fans, toys, and Thomasville calendars while supplies last. The HiToms have become synonymous with summertime in Thomasville, and another exciting season is already underway featuring exciting baseball, fun promotions, good food, cold drinks, and family-friendly entertainment.
