Luke Spiva

Bio

Spiva returns to the HiToms in a new role as the Baseball Instruction Director at HiTom City. A 2022 graduate of Catawba College, Spiva completed his Bachelors Degree in Physical Education.

Spiva is no stranger to Finch Field, having spent two seasons playing for the HiToms, compiling a .324 batting average and an OPS of .903 while driving in 25 runs in 46 games.

Over 5 seasons at Catawba and Winston Salem State University, Spiva hit .296 while collecting 62 extra base hits and displaying a patient eye at the plate, walking 131 times to 120 strikeouts in 195 games. Fittingly as the new Speed and Agility coordinator, Spiva stole 27 bags during his career, including a career high 17 in his sophomore season at Winston-Salem State.

A native of Winston-Salem, Spiva played his high school ball at Ledford where he was captain of the varsity team. He also spent his summers playing on Finch Field with the Post 87 American Legion HiToms.

Spiva is available to book for private coaching sessions for groups of up to four participants. Sessions available include hitting, pitching, fielding, and agility training. To book a session with Luke, call him at 336-929-1401 or by email at [email protected]
