Seven High Point‑Thomasville HiToms have been selected to the 2026 CPL All‑Star Game: pitchers Justin Mabe and Carlos Carabello, outfielders Charlie Slabaugh and Branton Jernigan, catcher Carson Cabbage, and second basemen Hunter Keen and Grady Mee. Mee was selected but is no longer with the HiToms. Cabbage will serve as the starting catcher in the All‑Star Game. Each has been a major piece of the HiToms’ summer surge.
The HiToms are sending four of the CPL’s most productive hitters.
Carson Cabbage (University of South Florida) is currently tied for sixth in the CPL in home runs (5) and tied for seventh in RBIs (23), backed by a .314 average and .525 OBP. Branton Jernigan (UNC Pembroke) sits 10th in RBIs (22) and tied for 12th in home runs (4), posting a .319 average and .505 OBP. Hunter Keen (Radford) has driven in 20 runs, good for 12th in the league, while hitting .302 with a .421 OBP. Charlie Slabaugh (Columbia) owns a .346 average and a .568 OBP, the 16th‑best mark batting average in the CPL.
On the mound, Carlos Carabello (Millersville) has been one of the league’s most reliable arms, working 16.2 innings with a 1.08 ERA. Justin Mabe (UNC Chapel Hill) has logged 21.1 innings with a 6.33 ERA.
The All‑Star Break is set for July 6-7. Congrats to these five HiToms who earned their spot among the league’s best.
“The guys have worked hard, and everyone’s very deserving of the honor to be there,” head coach Ted Bergquist said. “It’s a testament to the effort they put in in the first half of the season.”
