Introducing the Piedmont Premier W-LAX Summer League (PPWL)
High Point, NC – We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Piedmont Premier W-LAX (PPWL) Summer League, a new regional, competitive lacrosse program for female athletes grades 7-12 in central North Carolina. Hosted by the High Point-Thomasville HiToms, Whitney Michele, and Greensboro College Head Coach Mallory Zelawski, this league aims to provide a competitive platform for aspiring lacrosse players.
Mission:
The PPWL Summer League is dedicated to providing central North Carolina women’s high school/middle school lacrosse players with a regional, competitive program.
Eligible Players:
The league is open to female student-athletes from 7th to 12th grade. Participants must be members of USA Lacrosse. Membership can be obtained through USA Lacrosse Membership.
Workout Structure:
Our training program includes:
- Developmental Sessions
- Skills & Drills
- 2 on 3 Team Drills
- Live Game Scrimmages
- 7 on 7 Games
- 8-minute quarters with a running clock
- 2024 NFHS Girls Lacrosse Rules
Uniforms:
W-LAX practice apparel.
League Calendar:
The league will run from early June to mid-July.
Skill Sessions:
Skill sessions will be held at Greensboro College at 815 W. Market St GSO, NC 27401 on the following dates:
High School Division:
- Monday, June 10, 6:00 – 7:30 PM
- Thursday, June 13, 6:00 – 7:30 PM
- Monday, June 17, 6:00 – 7:30 PM
- Monday, June 24, 6:00 – 7:30 PM
- Monday, July 8, 6:00 – 7:30 PM
- Thursday, July 11 (Potential Make-up Date), 6:00 – 7:30 PM
The cost to participate in the PPWL High School Summer League is $150 per player, in addition to the USA Lacrosse membership fee of $35.
