The High Point-Thomasville HiToms (18-11) look to stay poised for playoff contention in the Coastal Plain League with a Saturday night showdown at Hooker Field with the Martinsville Mustangs (12-19). First pitch is at 7:00 p.m. and coverage is available on flobaseball.tv.

The HiToms are second to the three-loss Savannah Bananas in the CPL West division standings, in a current playoff position. HP-T has been sparked by their bats in 2021, smashing a league-best 40 home runs, with 11 coming from reigning CPL Hitter of the Year Hogan Windish.

Windish hit his latest home run, his eleventh on Thursday, in a 12-6 win over the Asheboro Copperheads. Windish was 2-3 with four runs scored and three runs batted in. KJ Wells closed the with another 1-2-3 ninth inning.

Tonight, the HiToms send Wake Forest’s Gabe Golob to the mound for the seventh time in 2021. Golob has been tight this year on the mound, walking just nine in 25 innings. Golob’s strong command of the strike zone has led him to a 2.16 ERA this year, top ten in the CPL.

HP-T returns to Finch Field on Sunday for Northwood Veterinary Bark in the Park! First pitch is at 5:00 p.m. versus the Boone Bigfoot. Those in attendance on Sunday will receive a free HiToms’ Bandana.
