The 12-7 High Point-Thomasville HiToms look for two more wins in a doubleheader on Saturday Night in Forest City, battling the 8-12 Owls. Wake Forest’s Gabe Golob will make his fourth start of Coastal Plain League play in game one for HP-T. Game one commences at 5:30, followed promptly by game two of the doubleheader.

High Point-Thomasville is 4-0 against the Owls this season but have not played Forest City since July 18th. Forest City has been a tough offense to face since coming to full strength. Charlotte first baseman Will Butcher has been slaughtering the competition so far this summer for Forest City, smashing three home runs and batting over .400.

The HiToms enter the doubleheader from a 7-5 comeback victory versus the Martinsville Mustangs. Four HiToms had RBI base hits in the five-run sixth to thrust the HiToms to 12-7.

Gabe Golob makes his third start against the Owls this evening. As the ace of the staff, Golob has allowed two runs across three starts. In two starts against Forest City, Golob has struck out 14 in nine innings.

Tonight’s game is available on FloBaseball.tv at 5:30 p.m. The HiToms return home for a matchup against the red-hot Asheboro Copperheads on Sunday. The Thomasville Fire Department and Police Department play in a charity softball game at 3:00 p.m. followed by the HiToms and Copperheads.
