On a beautiful Wednesday evening at Historic Finch Field, the HiToms came out firing on all sides of the ball.

UNC Tar Heel pitcher Harrison Lewis pitched a gem in his first start of the summer, throwing four innings, striking out four and only giving up one earned run. The HiTom bats got rolling in the 3rd thanks to an RBI single from Nathan Chrismon to tie up the ballgame. In the 4th, the HiToms took the lead for good thanks to a moonshot 3-run jack from Bear Horowicz.

Fellow Tar Heel pitcher Jacob Kirby pitched a shutout three innings following his college teammate. The HiTom hitters continued to pour on the runs, plating two in both the 5th and the 6th innings largely due to two RBI base knocks from 1st baseman Kaden Smith. Even though the Mustangs mustered up a rally in the 9th, Zach Kirby came in and struck out Bo Rusher to end the ballgame, HiToms take home the win 8-6.
