The High-Point Thomasville HiToms lead most of the way and defeat the second-seeded Asheboro Zookeepers in a 14-4 outing tonight at Finch Field.

Brantley Truitt was the star of the night on offense as he returned to the line-up and knocked in six RBI’s including a three run homerun to extend the HiToms lead.

After going up 5-0, the Zookeepers teased at a comeback by making it a one-run game, but the HiToms didn’t bite and scored 9 unanswered to mercy rule the Zookeepers.

The HiToms return to action tomorrow, July 10th for a double header against Forest City.
