The HiToms took Wednesday night’s road matchup 7-4 over the Asheboro Zookeepers, powered by a dominant start from right‑handed pitcher Justin Mabe.
Mabe allowed just one hit through five scoreless innings, striking out five. He kept Asheboro quiet through, giving the HiToms room to build a lead with one run in the third and three more in the fourth to go up 4-0.
Brady McGuire put the Zookeepers on the board with a sixth‑inning solo homer to pull within three, but the teams matched each other with three runs apiece down the stretch, locking in a 7-4 final.
The HiToms return home Thursday night for a 6:30 PM matchup against the Martinsville Mustangs at historic Finch Field. It’s also Thomasville Stars Night, the ceremony begins at 6:00 PM as we honor our local heroes. Come out early and support your HiToms!
