The HiToms lost 12-9 to the Asheboro Zookeepers on Friday night. They trailed for most of the game and were down 8-6 heading into the bottom of the ninth, but a two‑run homer from Blaize Johnson tied it up and sent the game to extra innings. Asheboro answered with four runs in the top of the tenth, and the HiToms managed just one in the bottom half, closing out the night with a 12-9 final.

The team will return home Wednesday, July 15 at 6:30 PM.
