The HiToms dropped their fourth straight CPL contest on Thursday night, falling 5-3 to the Boone Bigfoots at Finch Field.

The Bigfoots scratched across an early run in the top of the first. Left‑hander Jack Welsch worked the first four innings with four strikeouts, limiting Boone to just the lone run. Designated hitter Carson Cabbage pulled the HiToms even in the bottom of the fifth, launching a solo homer to make it 1-1.

The HiToms added another run in the sixth to take a 2-1 lead, which would hold until a four‑run frame from the Bigfoots in the eighth. That inning included a two‑run homer to swing the game back in their favor. The HiToms pushed one more across in the ninth off of defensive errors, but the late scoring attempt stopped there in a 5-3 final.

The HiToms return to Finch Field tomorrow at 6:30 PM for a non‑CPL matchup against the Queen City Corndogs.
